I Now Like Raisins

Remember getting those little boxes of raisins in your Halloween bag? Well I do, and I couldn't have been more annoyed. Next to the little sandwich baggies of pennies and dimes they were the worst. (If I had known what I know now I would have saved the pennies. The raisins? Not so much.)
Now that I'm a mom and I want to feed my son nutritious snacks I'm bringing back the raisins. I was looking through the snack aisle in Babies R Us when I spotted Newman's Own Organic Raisins. They were in a six pack consisting of 1.5 oz. boxes. Bring back any memories? Like the little boxes from Halloween? I was hesitant to buy them at first but I thought of what a healthy snack they would make for my son. Little Stuff ended up loving them. My husband likes them too. As for me...yes, I actually like them as well.
I'm not sure if my taste buds have changed or it is because they are organic. I often find organic food to be tastier. Whatever the reason I am going to buy these raisins again. This time in a much larger box. As for Halloween...I think I'll refrain from giving them out.
I purchased these raisins for $2.99 at Babies R Us.

I would vote it is because they are organic. I still don't like regular raisins but give me an organic one and I love them. They simply have more flavor and aren't all shrively and dried up, like a little rock.
But I find that to be true with all organic produce, the taste is just so much better.

We are a raisin loving house!! We buy the Newmans own too! I like the big resealable bag in comes in. Sometimes the boxes leave the raisins hard if you do not eat them fast enough. Which is usually not a problem! Chase could eat them all day long! I use them as ants- for ants on a log! Celery stick- some peanut or we use almond butter and some raisins right on top! My daughter loves it!

I didn't know about organic raisons, but my kids will eat these too. Who knew?

I was never a fan of raisins, but started purchasing these a few years ago for my kids ... they are delicious!

yeah, i hated them back when i was a kid and they were given out during halloween... of course, when everything else was so sugar-saturated... why would i? But offering these as snacks is a wonderful idea...and yeah, i like raisons now too. :)

I absolutely hated raisins when I was little, and I do enjoy them now. I agree with that first comment, too-- organic produce generally does taste better than conventional. Juicy and alive!

I never liked the raisin Halloween thing either. But my Diego loves to eat raisins and I think organic produce tastes better overall!! Great post.
