In my search to find safer, organic products I came across ActualOrganics.com. Actual Organics is owned by Joanna Runciman (photo below). Joanna, an independent representative with ONEgroup creators of Miessence®, is very passionate about health and well-being. She is very active in educating others
about choosing better foods, bath & beauty products, and cleaning products.

I had the pleasure of trying Miessence Mineral Foundation Powder from ActualOrganics.com. I did a lot of research to find a mineral foundation with ingredients that I felt comfortable with. I wanted to avoid bismuth oxychloride and nano particles so I needed to replace my old foundation powder. I ended up deciding on Miessence. The ingredients include: zinc oxide, iron oxide, sericite mica, organic rose essential oil.I truly like the Miessence Mineral Foundation Powder in Fair. When I first saw the powder I thought it would be too light for my complexion. I do have fair skin but the powder looked lighter than I needed. As I used the foundation, the color blended to match my face. I get the best results when I moisturize right before application. When I'm going for light to medium coverage I apply with a makeup brush. When I'm looking for even more coverage I use the sponge that comes with the foundation. I'm very happy with the coverage and the way the makeup looks!
I also tried the Jaffa Lip Balm (USDA certified organic). It contains shea butter and sunflower seed oil. It is very conditioning and I don't have to worry about toxic chemicals on my lips. Not to mention the sweet orange oil in the lip balm. I'm a huge fan of sweet orange. After trying Miessence products I am very intrigued and I know I'm going to have to try more!

I learned a lot in the Great Healthy Hair Starts Here blog entry on Actual Organics. Apparently most shampoos contain silicon, which makes our hair shiny but not necessarily healthy.

Its funny because I was going to email you about an organic face cream/body moisurizer. I already use organic hair and body moisturizer but always willing to try new! But I was organic face care.
I would like to try their creams and deodorant. Deodorant is a hard one though. I have tried a few and not like them.
I would also try the foundation since you liked it enough. I use bare minerals now but that is not safe.

Goodness, where to start? I've been searching FOREVER for an organic face washing system. I love that it is cold-pressed and obviously made in small batches since they start fresh every 6 weeks. Also, it comes in an oily formula and even tho I am over 50 I STILL have overactive oily skin. What's not to love???
