Rubbermaid Reveal Spray Mop Review & Giveaway (***CLOSED***)
One part of my cleaning routine I've never enjoyed is washing the floors. This is because I've been washing them by scrubbing them on my hands and knees. As cleaning is rarely a fun task, I especially despise this. It honestly means that I've washed my floors less than I should (good thing we take our shoes off at the door).
When I found out about the Rubbermaid Reveal Spray Mop I just had to try it! Why you ask? Simple answer...I can use my own eco-friendly cleaning solution without having to get down on the floor to scrub. Plus, it has a reusable microfiber cleaning pad that can be washed and reused.
I received a Rubbermaid Reveal Spray Mop Kit that contains the mop, three Microfiber Cleaning Pads, and two Refillable Bottles. The refillable bottles are made from #5 polypropylene plastic so they can be recycled. They can also be washed in the dishwasher on the top rack. The bottles are marked with fill lines so you know how much water is needed and how much cleaning solution to add. You only need to add two tablespoons of cleaner.
Rubbermaid even offers homemade cleaning solution recipes for you to try. Here's one of the recipes I liked for glazed tiles, vinyl, soft tile, cement, brick, and laminate:
- 2 Tablespoons baking soda
- 2-3 drops liquid castile soap
- Fill the rest with hot water
The cleaning pad stays on the mop and is not difficult to take off for washing. I'd recommend purchasing at least one extra cleaning pad. I like to use one for dry mopping dust and dirt, then using another cleaning pad for using with the solution.
Using the Rubbermaid Reveal Spray Mop truly makes for quick clean up. I no longer have to scrub the floors on my hands and knees every time I clean (still good to do every once and a while though). I also don't need to make cleaning a big deal when it comes to smaller messes. A spray and a couple of swipes takes care of it!
Buy It! You can purchase the Rubbermaid Reveal Spray Mop at The Home Depot, Target, select Wal-Marts, Sam's Club, Harris Teeter, ShopRite, Mills and Blain, Haggen's, Meijer, Price Chopper, Wegman's, and Hannaford.
WIN IT!!!

I have two favorite parts! One is that it's from Rubbermaid, so it should be durable! I have a mop similar to this one (without the spray bottle), but the handle broke the other day while I was using it :(
The other thing I like is that the cleaning pad seems to cover the entire mopping head...my current mop didn't do this and I had to be very careful when mopping that the corners of the mop head didn't scratch my hardwood floors.

I like that the microfiber pad is reusable so you no longer have to buy disposable pads.I also like that I can use my own cleaner instead of buying expensive ones.
