Little Looster Review: Booster for the Loo

We've just started potty training. Originally, we did start with a small potty for training our son. But often he would try to put toys in the potty or he would put the inside bowl on his head. He did use the little potty once successfully although he doesn't show too much interest. I believe he thinks of the small potty more as a toy even though we've been trying to teach him otherwise.
When we had the opportunity to try the Little Looster: Booster for the Loo I thought it would be a good chance for my son to use the big potty. It enables little legs to rest comfortably while your child sits on the toilet. It also gives children a safe way to climb up to sit as well. The Little Looster can remain around the toilet so parents don't have to move it - adult legs can easily fit around it.
We have a very tiny bathroom. The small potty takes up extra space making it harder to get around. The Little Looster takes care of that problem and also eliminates having to clean a small potty after it is used. As parents, we are constantly cleaning. And toddlers have a special tendency to make extra messes. So it's very nice to have less to clean up after.
If you're wondering what the Little Looster is made from, it is High-Density Polyethelene (recycling code #2). That is the same material used to make milk jugs and the product is 100% recyclable. The Little Looster is also made in the USA using materials from Oregon. Nothing is shipped in from overseas. reducing the carbon footprint.
So far, using the Little Looster, our son is sitting on the big potty. He used to tell me and show signs that he needed to use the bathroom but lately I've been having trouble catching him before he goes. So we've been practicing sitting on the potty anyway with the Little Looster and resting his feet. I think once we get him a small potty seat to go over our large one it will help too. That coupled with the Little Looster should make him more comfortable. I know potty training is going to be a process but at least I know he can climb up on the big potty and rest his feet.
Little Looster is generously offering $7.00 off to Mommy Is Green readers.

I wish I would have known about this, or that they would have been available, when my children were being potty trained. It would have made things so much easier.

Looks like a wonderful idea for potty training, however i still have to start the diaper years!

I've seen a few reviews for this and thought it looks like a great idea. We found that our 4-year-old liked potty training on the big potty much better than the small ones... and I was VERY happy not having to clean out the little ones. We just got the insert seat to fit on top and she was all set!
Good luck, hope the training goes well for your son!

Thanks for the helpful review. We'll be working on potty training soon and this might be the route we end up taking too. Something to keep in mind in case it does.
