The Willow Store Wool Dryer Balls Review

I recently purchased some All-in-One Organic Training Pants for my son from The Willow Store. Since I've always used all-in-two or pocket diapers I was adjusting to the extra drying time. I wasn't sure how the AIO trainers were going to work out for me because I could usually do a couple of dryer cycles or less for my inserts and they were completely dry. My AIO's were taking longer than that. I only have a small drying rack in my kitchen so I'm not able to air-dry all of my diapers. Unfortunately, I have to rely more on my dryer for my cloth diapers/trainers.
I spoke with Catherine at The Willow Store and she suggested I try drying my trainers with other clothes. I had never really thought of that because I always kept my cloth diapers separate from the rest of the laundry. But it made total sense once she said it. She also thought I'd like to try their Wool Dryer Balls to help with drying time. I was very excited because I had been contemplating wool dryer balls for some time. Who doesn't want to reduce their drying time and save on energy costs?
What is also great about wool dryer balls is that they are a chemical-free solution for softening your laundry. I always avoid chemical fabric softeners or dryer sheets so I was very happy to check out The Willow Store Dryer Balls:
- Made from 100% wool
- Reduces drying time
- Handmade in the US
- Natural wool felted
- Approx. 9" in circumference
- Available in natural cream or hand-dyed
First, I tried the dryer balls with our clothes. There was a noticeable difference. With three dryer balls the drying time was cut by almost half. Occasionally, I have to run heavier items like socks a little longer but the rest of the load definitely dries faster. When I tried the dryer balls with the AIO Trainers they helped reduce their drying time as well. I keep the wool balls in the dryer and I'm good to go. There's never a need to take them out.
I was very impressed with the wool dryer balls. They look and feel so nice too. Even my son wanted to play with them. It looks like we are both fans!

I did not receive any monetary compensation for this post. I was provided with three Wool Dryer Balls at no cost for review. The opinions expressed here are my own. Please see Terms of Use for more information.

Ooh! Cool idea and product. I have been known to thrown in other clothes or towels into the dryer to dry something faster but I like the idea of these little orbs. Thanks for the review.

This is new to me too, but it almost sounds like one of those old techniques like our grandmothers might have done. A great idea. I love this.
